Article 1: Change is Coming to Real Estate

While the “Real Estate Industry” is not solely responsible for the current crisis in the housing market, there is no doubt that it was complicit in it.

As members of the industry, we acknowledge that reality.

Furthermore, we agree to hold ourselves to a higher standard of service based on the principles set forth here.

Article 2:  Real Estate Bill of Rights

We hold these truths to be self-evident:

1. There is no such thing as a one-size fits all compensation model for the services that brokers and agents provide to buyers and sellers.
2. Buyers and sellers should understand how much they are paying and exactly what services they should expect in return and we commit to making this as clear as possible.
3. Buyers and sellers have the right to negotiate the price they pay for Real Estate services, or they can choose do handle their transaction themselves.
4. When buyers and sellers choose to take advantage of our services they will receive superlative client service and a loyal defense of their best interests.
5. Our Web sites will put usability first, ahead of our own marketing and business priorities.
6. We will leverage the collective strength of our network to market our seller’s properties.

Article 3: Capitalist Enterprise with Democratic Principles

RealSearchUSA.com provides Real Estate Search Marketing services for the purpose of generating a profit and is wholly owned by MainRhode, a Limited Liability Corporation.

While the owners of RealSearchUSA.com have chosen to base our network on the democratic principles that inspired the men who wrote the United States Constitution, it is a business, not a government.

1. Member Eligibility: In order to be a member of RealSearchUSA.com you must:

1. Be an independent broker.
2. Meet the application criteria.
3. Agree to uphold the principles of this Charter and to the terms of MainRhode LLC’s licensing agreement.

2. Exclusive local coverage areas

We seek Independent brokers who are highly knowledgeable about the communities they serve. Members are granted exclusive Search Coverage for their territories on the RealSearchUSA.com Network.

The purpose of the network is to link these exclusive territories together at Search Results level so that when a prospective buyer is looking at a property on our network, the contact information provided alongside a listing belongs to a good, local broker.

Article 4: Giving Back

RealSearchUSA.com is an experiment in applying search and social networking technologies in an effort to change an industry, which is a worthwhile commercial endeavor.

One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is an experiment in applying laptop and WiFi technology in an effort to change the lives of children in developing countries, which is a worthwhile human endeavor.

As our experiment earns a profit, 10% of that profit will be donated to OLPC for their experiment.
